INSTRUCTOR TRAINING: Teaching Novice I, II, and III

This workshop is for members who are currently teaching—or curious about teaching—the Novice sequence. Even experienced instructors are encouraged to attend: we are basing our Novice lesson plans on the WIPA Level I certification and would like everyone to use that as the lesson plan.

This is a very condensed version of the 16-hour WIPA Level I training!

Our focus for this session will be on the land lesson, with particular discussion of:

3. Introduction to Novice I Lesson Plan, plus II and III skills


4. Using the simulator


5. Practice lecture
